Robotic press loading/unloading cell

Control cell to integrate a blending operation, a Nachi SA100 robot and two presses each with two levels. The master control is an Omron C200H PLC and the presses are controlled by Allen-Bradley SLC5/03 PLC's. The system provided real-time control of the robot by the machine operator to adjust the position of the shot when the robot loaded the molds in the thermoplastic compression molding process. A recipe management and mold management system was included and integrated within the cell controls.
