Leak Tester for Automobile Air Conditioning Components

Dedicated leak tester for leak testing of automobile air conditioner assemblies. The unit has two stations that can be operated simultaneously. The assemblies are automatically clamped in place, evacuated using a vacuum pump, charged with helium, tested for leaks by an operator using a mass-spectrometer sensor, the helium is reclaimed, the part is evacuated and is flushed using plant air before it is discharged. The unit has closed loop detection of the pressure in the part and will reject a part if there is a time out on evacuation, excessive pressure drop in the line during testing, if the mass-spectrometer senses helium or if one of the assemblies' o-rings, springs or grommets is not detected by the machine during the leak test.
